Amazing displays, fabulous people, incredible stuff, and we had a blast!
I enjoyed every single moment, and thanks to my peeps, I could relax, walk around and meet some of the incredible people at the show.

Windy Wyoming!

As you all know every road trip is an adventure! This is what we have learned so far on this trip to Fort Collins Colorado (wish we could add pictures). 1. It's always windy in Wyoming!! 2. When the neon sign over the interstate says the road is closed to light weight trailers due to high winds, you listen and take the alternate route. 3. The alternate route is prettier anyway! 4. Not many rest stops on the alternate route. 5. When Colette comes out of the outhouse rest stop and says "heres what you need to know" you may want to consider holding it awhile longer! 6. Wind swirls up from the hole in an outhouse. Does anyone know if they make hand sanitizer for your nostrils? Rachel really wanted some! 7. Pair of gloves and Colettes left boot may need to be burned after the incident with the Wyoming outhouse! 8. When you lose the camera, look between your feet on the car floor! 9. When you lose the cell phone, look in the parking lot! This is what we have learned so far! Four days to go I'm sure we will have more wisdom to share by the time we are done! All the best! Seattle Adventures #2

On our recent adventures in the Seattle area we spent an entire day in the sweet little town of Snohomish Wa. Everybody that's familiar with the area had told us it was a must for antiques, so we drove the few miles from where we were staying in Monroe to check it out! I have to say not only did we find some vintage goodies to bring home, but we were inspired by all the wonderful shops.

And did I mention the sunshine! It was a gorgeous day! We had a blast strolling the streets, doing what we love the most, Shopping! And Colette basking in the sunshine in front of her favorite color, does it get any better?

Seattle travels!

Greetings all! We have spent the last four days soaking up, no not the rain, the sun in the lovely Seattle area. And as promised we have halted in all of our frantic shopping to share it with you. Sadly we are not able to post any pictures yet, as we do not have the ability on the laptop. You know how they say a picture is worth a thousand words, start counting (just kidding)! We more or less just wanted you all to know that we are still on the planet, all is well, and we are finding the most delicious things for the store. Like lovely moss covered garden salvage, industrial pieces to die for, and yummy spring colored furniture and accents to chase away winter. Just a few things for you to think about until we get back!!!

We're goin on a Buying Trip!

So this is a picture of our best friend! At least when we're going on a buying trip! Rest assured there will be an after shot with it packed full of all our new goodies.

Our destination this time is the Ruffles & Rust show in Monroe WA., and all the little towns in between. For all of you familiar with the tv. show American Pickers you can imagine what it's like, only I think we have way more fun, and we dress cuter! If only we had a car cam...


As it is not possible for us to be in two places at once, you may experiance a phenomenon we call SWS, or"Station 8 Withdrawl Syndrome." This is experienced when you drive by our cute little shop and the windows are dark, and when you call and get the machine. This phenomenon is not permanent, and will cease to exist on the 24th, with no lasting side effects.

We're goin to the Farm Chicks show!

Yee Haw!!! We are officially Farm Chicks!! Station 8 ( myself and my principal buyer) will be selling at The Farm Chick show in Spokane WA June 5th and 6th, along with tons of other creative and talented women (and maybe some men) from around the Northwest. We are so excited to be a part of the show this year!!! Here are some of the things that we will be taking with us....
We're calling our look British Colonial, think "early 1900's safari". We have been saving some of our favorite things for the show..... vintage cameras, typewriters, binoculars, and an old black iron daybed. Of course, we are still collecting things to take with us, so check back to see what we have found! Now that we have a plan for the show, we're asking ourselves the really important question... What will we wear????

Introducing Station 8 Antiques!

I can't believe it's finally happened--I'm blogging. The girls told me"It has to be done" so, as a good shop owner, I listened to my girls! I am sitting here shaking with excitement and have become tongue tied. So, the girls say, "Just tell your story."

Let me tell you about my shop,"The Shops at Station 8", located in the small town of Columbia Falls, Montana, just a few miles west of Glacier Park. I fell in love with this 100 year old train depot in 2007 and after renovating it just a bit, I opened my antiques and home decor store on June 7, 2008! My dream came true and I am still counting my blessings that I am living my dream of owning my very own shop. Of course, I knew I couldn't fill a 4000 s.f. building all myself, so I carefully selected the finest merchants to join my team, thus, The Shops at Station 8 was born. I thrive on merchandising, creating delightful vignettes, inspiring displays and having fun with my loyal customers! And every day is new and fresh and challenging, and isn't that the best? What could be better? I plan to meet you here each week to share the goings on at Station 8.
